In my experience, digital ICE makes things worse. I've given up on it and I've stuck to using anti-static gloves to handle the negs/slides, then using an anti-static brush to brush off any dust on the neg/slide as well as scanner. Anything left over after that I just use photoshop or lightroom to get rid off.

IMO, scanned dust is much easier to clean up digitally than mushed up digital ICE blotches.

Hi enivre, I'm looking for lint-free/anti-static gloves too. May I know where you got yours? Thks

I really like this one!!
May I know which film was used?
Thanks!!

hi ervine, thanks for reply. i think is an issue with the epson v700 ice hardware.
anw apologies to all for dumping not exactly RF stuff on this thread. have started a thread in equipment discussion (where it should be) regarding the v700 issue with digital ICE and film scanning. http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=669695

i've included a possible workflow to incorporate digital ice whilst dealing with the blotches issue in that thread. not sure if it's 100% effective though.
