First ever shot out of Zeiss Sonnar C ZM50 1.5 (calibrated)

Hi guys, may I find out from you how much would it cost for Solms to do the adjustment? Is the adjustment done together by sending your body in as well? If so, does it mean that the lens is calibrated only to that particular body and may still need adjustment when use on other bodies?

For non-leica lenses such as nikkor, canon, voigtlander or hexanon, where can one get them calibrated in Singapore should one experience focus shift in them?

Thanks.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to ask about technical questions.

PM sent.

At last.... Nice. Bro, this on film or digital? See some weird bokeh around the lady's nose to chin area.

hi dave it's the rd1 JPEG straight out of cam. Yeah I noticed that too. The strange wavy line is the piping on our pillows behind. BTW The lady is my wife. Dunno gotta take more shots to see what it's like. Next film and see how it behaves.

Lovely wife bro... Family the reason why we keep shooting too right?

Maybe it's the characteristics of this old lens? See if other bros here can shed some light?

could be jpeg, i should shoot RAW but bit lazy....dave, I took another look at the original and when I blew it up, her chin had a pimple on it!! the lens accentuated it along with the sonnar glow made it a bit weird...hahaha

Adjust for what aperture and to what distance? You have to specify, otherwise it will be infinity (at least for the distance) and it may boil down to some compromise.

Ok, good reason to not show the wife that picture :bsmilie:

As long as you show good shots to her, you can justify buying more equipment. :bsmilie:
