The reason I had to stop taking photographs should be the reason I start taking them.

Shot on Ektar 100 with an R3A. If you are interested, the rest are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ervinelin/sets/72157627439566860/with/6045777043/

can i ask how come ur ektar colors are so nicely saturated while mine straight out of the scanners are all carrying a purplish hue? and its already the 2nd roll of it and im really frustrated using it...

How did you scan them? If you scanned them yourself, see if you can get a profile for Ektar 100? There was someone else who asked the same question.

I just send them to the lab to scan, too lazy to scan 35mm myself on my V700. The scans can sometimes look a bit drab without the proper dodging and burning but I don't get a purplish hue which you mention.

I do my post processing in Lightroom 3, add contrast as well as gradients to massage the image to look like how I want it. I also play around with the WB and at times selectively adjust colours in LR. I would say it is almost essential that you run the images through Lightroom or some other imaging software as raw scans seldom do justice to an image.

You can see more photos I shot with Ektar here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ervinelin/sets/72157623861613824/
