Never quite understood why the 40/1.4 lens got a bad rep for harsh Bokeh. It's quite pleasant. Play more and post more. Btw welcome to the poisonous world of rf!![]()

M9 + Nokton 40mm f/1.4 SC
35 Cron asph, Tri X 1+167, Yabuli, Harbin - minus 20C, MP worked just fine in these extreme conditions, meter batteries died immediately from cold![]()
the cold was so extreme, so dry, the snow on the ground felt like beach sand
Not exactly sure how this happened, probably an issue with the film advance. This was the first of a series of 3 overlapping frames, but this particular one turned out quite well IMO, captures the energy of the ringside action..
2nd in the series of my 3-frame overlaps.. very strange..
M3/Lux 50mm e43/Tri-x/Rodinal 1+100 stand
I did have a small lakeside cabin 90 miles north of the city in millbrook and experienced -15C to -25C weather but with windchill, harbin was -33C without and when the wind kicked up even gently it was cold beyond belief...anyways the point being...hurray for mechanical cameras! The MP took a licking but kept on tickin' :bsmilie:
