nordleadx, not the grain ... without pp, I just think I prefer a bit more bite and resolution than what the 800Z provides ... I've got some Portra 800 coming, so will try these for night scenes in color.

Holga with DIY Pinhole (Alu Foil and needle), think I din poke the hole hard enough or small enough, images are slightly blur.

Anyone knows where I can get those laser etched pinhole plates to mount on my holga, probably I will just mount with black take when i want to use it so that I still can retain the functionality of my holga as I have made the lens removable.

My first image with Lucky Film SHD-100, in Rodinal, still to check out the rest, but the film didn't disappoint, IMHO. (Rolleiflex)

From reviews online, some say negatives curl up and are thin. Mine curled up, but only while drying. They are thinner but not significantly. Overall, a good find, and a great buy.

Will print them traditionally one day, but from experience, all B&W negatives are great anyway when printed

.

clubgrit, what's the timing on these? Rodinal 1+50 or 1+100?

I used 1+25, 7 mins. At 1+25, it's the same as Tri-X 400 with Rodinal, so one can process both films at the same time.

I was planning to do it with HC-110, but didn't have the time at that moment to mix the solution, and the Rodinal was on hand to use.

Instructions inside the Lucky film box are in Chinese which I can't read, but I noticed the developer name D76.

Thanks, Chiif, this is a live model, from a worshop on Styling. Credit too goes to the instructor who set up the lights, as well as the pro model.

Also, I had to look at my fellow participants' dslr screens to check where and how the light falls, as I was using film only ... it's faster than using a polaroid back .

the model is beautiful, the pose is excellent, even the bg is wondering (although the styles don't match, imho)... unfortunately, the tones of the gloves, skin, and jacket appear too similar, making it look a little awkwad in b&w... again, imvho...

No problemo, you are entitled to your opinion regarding anything. As a pro told me, he'd rather be critiqued for flaws than praise, although it doesn't necessarily mean he will agree .

I do have these on color film too, but this was a sample of the "cheap and good" Lucky film, which is another film I am adding to my list to use.

Speaking of opinions, on one workshop, I met someone who never ever shot in a studio, and I had to help him in the technical aspects, but told him to go his own way regarding the artistic side, and not ask me what I think he should shoot. As our guru said, if someone says "your image looks like one done by *this photographer or that*", then one becomes just a copycat.

Regarding camera usage, on some sessions I attend, Nikon, Canon, and Fuji users ribbed each other but it was all in the spirit of fun, everyone knew what they preferred to use. I get my own share as I can be the curiosity with the film camera in the sea of dslr users .
