Ohhh...this Rolleiflex 2.8F was made in 1965, everything manual and mechanical, CdS metering without battery never fail and very accurate.

boochap, i've got to hand it to you. these are wonderful shots. thanks for sharing!

Like the last pic.

Boochap, thanks for sharing. I like the way you expose, sacrificing some shadow detail for the highlights. It works well in adding a dark mood and lots of dark tones, which I may want sometimes. Will try on my Rolleiflex using the built-in meter (I usually used an external one) ...

bnw is moody, unlike colors, I don;t think u need all the details everywhere to make the pix look good. u have to keep trying, each time u get a different result.

rolleiflex built in meter is good for negative. u have to be extra careful with slides, i got the most number of underexposuse on slides. for negative.. u can always make correction, +/- 2 stop scanner still could managed, sometime with surprising results!

let's keep the MF going...

Thanks for the info ...

Yes, I agree on detail. Well, of course it all depends on one's tastes and intended effects, whether color or b&w. I have to qualify that lest beginners think black and white is all about moodiness only (although b&w film is great at it) :).

Yes, keep on shooting MF, long live MF cameras, whether new or old, cheap or expensive, toy or professional, all have a place in creating art (or even snapshots like for the family for that matter).

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all !

Boochap,

Your works of art are partly the reason why I am about to "leap" into MF now. Photography for me now is just too arousing to confine myself to 35mm!
