Looks like the 250 is your weapon of choice.
Have you tried a red filter? I think it would increase the contrast here and help separate the background from the branches in the front. Might I also suggest tweaking the levels. I tried it and it really brings out the 2 main branches.

You are right. However, this is a traditional print on Ilford MG, most BW I do make a silver print, and scan from the print to post. Not only contrast is different, gradation/brightness/accutance sharpness is another one. I just try to use a little less in the electronic way, probably need to re expose another pc with 1 step higher contrast.
