grand canyon is indeed breathtaking!
must be a haven especially for mf and lf

Yes it is. These 2 shots however weren't taken at the Grand Canyon. :) Dead Horse Point is about 350 miles North East of the Grand Canyon in Utah. It's wedged in-between Canyonland National Park and Arches National Park.

Here's one from Canyonland National Park

... and 1 from Arches National Park. Funny thing is the images of the actual arches didn't come out all that nice.

Mind sharing camera, lens and exposure settings?

I used a 205FCC, 40mm for most of my shots, and 180mm for the 3rd image. Velvia 50 in my opinion is the magic ingredient. I try to keep the red rocks to between zones 4 to 5. The deep blue skies however is what I look for the most and thus try not to have the sky any brighter than zone 7. Zones 8 and above would render a very pale blue with Velvia. It needs to be no more than zone 7 to get that deep "cheating" blue. Shutter speeds were all no slower than 1/60 as I handhold. A tripod is too cumbersome.

Just visited your blog. WOW!!! Gorgeous images! Thanks for sharing. I think you would need a lot more than 2 more weeks to cover the National Parks.

If you go North from the Grand Canyon into Utah you would get to Salt Lake City. Here's one from Antelope Island, it's in the middle of the great salt lake.

Further North will take you into Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. That is an absolute must see.

Grand Teton.

Further North still would bring you into Montana. Glacier National Park and Coeur d'Alene in Idaho West of that.

North of that would be Banff, Canada and Jasper National Park. Probably the most beautiful of all the Parks that I've been to.

Morraine Lake, Jasper. It's green from Glacial deposits.

Moving East to the other end of Canada would be Niagara Falls in Toronto.

first roll from yashica mat 124g

the film is Lucky100 and stand developed in Rodinal for 75 mins which is probably the reason for the fog. will probably use a different developer or film next time.
