Here is a glimpse of Horseshoe Bend, Arizona...interesting place...the Colorado River actually negotiates the horseshoe...experiment with stitching 3 panels with the 28mm lens.
My tripod is positioned 4,200 feet (1280m) above sea level and the Colorado River is at 3,200 feet (975m) above sea level making it a breathtaking 1,000 foot (308m) drop from tripod to water level. Quite a scary thing.

from two nights ago...at Yosemite National Park...view from the Wawona Tunnel of the entire valley.
The famous El Capitan 7,569 ft (2,307 m) above sea level, and some 3000 ft (910m) above the valley floor of Yosemite on the left. And in the far center, Half Dome, some 8836 ft (2693m) of sheer granite.
This is a 3 panel stitched image with Hasselblad H3D-39 with HC4/120 Macro.

Great shot. That was a scary photo to take wasn't it? I was there several years ago and was utterly frightened as I walked to the edge. Since you were in the area did you stop by Antelope Canyon? Here's one I took in 1999.

yes, did Antelope Canyon...and Grand Canyon...here is a pic of Antelope's famous light shaft:

It was super crowded...the Navajo will spoil the market if they are greedy and let so many people into the canyon at one time. I only got one or two shots with no people in them.
Lower Antelope was better...
