curious to know, how does the uncoupled rangefinder work? you get the distance reading first, then set the lens to the distance? :dunno:

Love that light!!

i agree, awesome light!..
what's your experience with shanghai GP3? keen to order some to try, but reviews online seem to indicate terrible film curl that's difficult to scan flat..

For 120mm it's def. a PITA to scan given its tendency to curl..

I haven't shot 120mm GP3 yet (the above shot is 4x5..and it seems to work really well stand developed with HC-110 (1:100).

Here's another example (4x5 as well - Pardon the dust).

Good shot!
Is the 4x5 GP3 nice and stiff and easy to scan?

Yes, you focus with the rangefinder, take the distance reading from a window on top of the camera and then manually set the lens. This camera therefore more suitable for zone focussing rather than precise shooting.

Yes yes! it's really quite easy to scan..not much diff from the HP5+ that i've used..

Tempted to try to get some Fomapan 100 to try though..

Finally found sometime, did some reccee work with the Hassy in prep for a large format visit.. Slurp slurp..
