Still have one brick of Shanghai 120 GP3. My previous batch was OK.
However, the latest batch seems to be terrible (in silver foil, not red foil).
Experiment
Film A - load and shoot in subdued sunlight
unloaded in subdued sunlight
Film B - load in darkness, shoot in room using flash
unload in darkness, put into film box and then load into tank. (eliminate light)
Same development, same chemicals, same tank.
Film A - backing paper wordings appearing on film
film looks fogged
starting part of film looks really fogged
ending parts has the white arrow on backing paper imposed on film
Film B - Same!
Looks equally fogged!
Hypothesis:
1. Film got fried when clearing custom - (then why others Fuji Agfa etc etc not affected?)
2. Film got fried during manufacturing - (maybe, one PRC run production with a candle light on? or loaded the film in red light?)
3. Film in darkness and film in light shows equally fogged -> film is already fogged before exposure.
Conclusion:
DONT USE SHANGHAI GP3 120.
