Angkor Wat in Infrared...


Just a shot of Angkor Wat in IR...
We walked through the secluded path to the more remote gate of Angkor Wat, and after the group photo, we walked up the dilapidated doorway..
... I looked left and saw this scene through the window...
So since vngks is doing his IR with such enthusiasm, I also took a shot...

The main body was so fast.
A moment and they were all gone, leaving me, SereneXMM, vngks and Mr L trying to figure our way out of the Wat.
Adrian was saying that one can get lost very easily in the Wat compound. But in case we got lost, just look at the compass and head East.

Anyway, we did that. And we came to this...

Helping out sweet young girls at Angkor Wat...

But before we came to the above one, LEO, vngks, SereneXMM and I were exploring the steps upwards.
The rest of the group went all the way to the top. But we didn't.
This is an IR shot of our handsome vngks checking out some Ang Moh sweet young things at the top of the steps.
I think they were Sooooooooo taken in by his good looks and muscular body that they asked him to take a shot of them drooling...

Once again, well done SgTrekker for organizing another wonderful photography trip.

Upon arrival in Siem Reap in the afternoon, we proceeded to Angkor Wat West gate (after checking into our hotel).

Next morning, we go early early to chop our position for Angkor Wat sunrise shoot.

#7 : My take on Angkor Wat sunrise ...

I can even smell the AlexK in this shot! Classic AlexK style Angkor Wat Sunrise!
It's like doing Darkroom Printing like that. You can only burn and dodge once and the photo is unique. Cannot be replicated one.

Wow.. had it not been for your this shot, we wouldn't even know how crowded it was!

We all started walking from the quieter side of angkor Wat.

Once inside the court yard of the main temple. The sunlight was shining right onto the pillar.

Everyone started working on their angles.

It was sunny outside, but once inside the wat, it was strangely a little dark. Here a few children were playing.

Here, vngks was struggling to squeeze through a doorway. Unsuccessfully he had to give up later on. The doorway wasn't built for a man of his size.

As vngks and Limwhow were trying to squeeze through the doorway, this old man was having a relaxing puff, sitting beside the young monk.

Then four of us we walked out of the central temple and cannot find the rest of the group. But we saw this temple at the side of the path.

And this gentleman from somewhere north was examining his coconut. I quietly walked very close up to him with my 12mm and shoot.

We walk and we walk and suddenly we see this handsome young man in front of us.
