MAEKLONG STATION

The most fun part of the trip was the visit to MaeKlong Station. This was the last event of the whole trip. It is amazing that a real wet market is set up so close to the railway track (goods piled up to the very edge of the track). A few times a day the stallholders have to make way for the train to pass. After that its business as usual.

About half an hour later the train left the station and made its way thru the market.

This takes place a few times a day. Really amazing!

As you can see, the onus is on you to keep out of the way of the train.
