continue Day 5
Still at Jaipur. We departed at 8.30 am for Amer Fort.
on our way, we passed by Hawa Mahal which is a palace. Built of red and pink sandstone, the palace is situated on the main thoroughfare in the heart of Jaipur’s business centre.

arrived at Amer Fort .It is one of the principal tourist attractions in the Jaipur area, located high on a hill. The ancient citadel, the capital of the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amer from 1037 to 1727 AD, was shifted to present day Jaipur in 1727. Amer Fort is known for its artistic style, blending both Hindu and Mughal elements. The fort with its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront.

After lunch, we went to Iswari Minar Swarga Sal , also known as Heaven Piercing Minaret. While walking to the Minaret, we passed by this place where there were lots of pigeons. It seem this is their resting and feeding place.

We stomped our foot, and you see flocks of them fly off.. we were so scared of the shits falling on us.. lol

We soon reached Iswari Minar Swarga Sal, also known as Heaven Piercing Minaret, is situated near the Tripola Gate, Jaipur. It is one of the important landmarks which stands overlooking the city. The minaret was built by Iswari, the son of Jai Singh, who committed suicide when the Maratha army came advancing. From the top of the tower one can have a great view of the surroundings.

this pic was taken the day before as we wanted to be there but it was already closed and the weather as you can see was very cloudy.

Climbing up is a challenge to me. It was a bit dark and smelly.. luckily Melvin passed me the "hong-yu", or else I will be a merlion (vomitting) all my way up. There is only one window at an interval after you climbed about 2 storey. I estimated it is about 6 storeys high at most. I tried not to breathe in but only breathe out and climb my way up :(

last steps before you reach the top. Alot of bird shits.....but it was actually windy and cooling up there.

We went to Galta - also known as Monkey Temple to catch our sunset. We sat around, watching the boar, cows , goats and monkeys hanging around, jumping and "strolling"..

Alot of monkeys, big and small. They were rather tamed as it wont come near to you to get food. Passer-by will feed them at times.

but some are mischievious and will start to scratch the car, tearing down parts of the car, like the side mirror, wind screen..

Day 6 We departed Jaipur for Delhi.. our last second day. Journey took us about 6.5 hours with an hour stopped over for lunch.

On our way,we passed by a village and went down to take some photos. Camel cart is not too commonly sighted compared with other type of carts pulled by buffalos or horses. The carmels are really tall and seem abit skinny

We arrived Delhi around 4.30pm and checked in to Delhi Pride Hotel. Now the fun comes :)
Sg Trekkers giving us a treat for dinner and we headed to the KFC!! By now, we were tired of Indian food and longing for some "local" crusine. At least you get the same taste as our local KFC.. and wer were hungry by then.

There aren't many KFC compared to the MacDonalds there, but we have this outlet just 2 blocks down from our hotel, along the busy streets.

We walked the night bazzar after our most fulfilling meal... our first shopping treat after many days :)

A very busy and crowded night bazzar. Lots of stalls, lots of people. prices are pretty reasonable.

Day 7, our final day in India ..
We took a local train for our morning shoot at Chandi Chowk. It was very crowded as we passed through streets after streets. Oh man, we walked and walked and ended up our walk at Rajghat, which is the last resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. My legs almost gave up on me under the hot hot sun.
