I got one of those nude chinese painting calenders from rochor centre last year...really gorgeous kitsch stuff.

Yes everything can be elevated to an artform. Playboy centrefolds used to be shot on 8x10inch film and was considered a high standard....those were the days.

Put it this way. in Japan, they Glorify Sex and Pornography....

not so much in singapore. where the society is very much still rather conservative, and the culture tolerance is not what we expect.

student of art, or artist, etc. we live in singapore. you can do anything you want. but no matter what we do. theres a limit to what we can achieve for the higher ups are watching.

if we do continue, cs's image would continue to steer in a different direction which could be a big impact on the community.

CS is shared with people from all age groups. so if we are not sensitive and considerate towards others, i guess chaos would break lose. well.....

i've seen people from both extreme ends... its a community's sake. lets all take a look at the big picture rather than we all squabble over why organizers shouldnt use "sinful" words instead.

EVERYONE is sharing the forum. people of all age groups.

photography WAS NEVER about taking pictures of nude girls or whether clothed or not.

i am not going to grandmother story what photography is. but WHAT i see is that forum is taking on a different direction for what it was intended for. we are losing community spirit, and slowly our younger members are being left out.

this forum is not just for arts buff.

there is a reason why some PC games come with age ratings. adult oriented photography with similiar level of sexual content should be only accessible to adults alone.

we need to keep an open mind but at the same time be mindful of others too. even in the (local) free market, its illegal to sell cigarettes to minors. those who do & are caught will be dealt with according to local laws. that said, free market does not equate to absolute freedom.

I agree with you on this point ... but seriously ... i don't think there are too many CS'ers that is below the age of 18 ... (i could be seriously wrong here). :bsmilie:

restricting access is much easier once the forum into Photoshoots is further (for nude, bikini, soft-porn themed shoots) subdivided with a new 1 granting only participants who meet specific age reqiurements. a requirement not needed for other open forum within CS.

dun need to think so hard where to draw the line on age requirement, just copy MDA or those by game manufacturers.

even if its for that 1% of CSers who dun meet age requirement for such "activity" is does not mean its not effective.

why is there age requirement for certain movies, gambling & sales of cigarettes? are they necessary? lol...
