The OCBC easicredit is going to charge annual fess of $60 once your present
account subscription ended.
Read the back of the lastest bill you received even you never use the credit.
Is is stated.

The D200 promo is $235X12mths but if you deposit the monthly installment
before the charge take place, think no interest will incurred.
DBS Cashline is like that.
Anybody can confirm on OCBC?
Anyway, my easicredit ending Sep 06, so I will be cancelling the account by then..
And if take up the promo, I am stuck.. :bsmilie:

correct... just deposit the money before payment date and the int is nt charged... and the annual fee is $60 :)

wah,....nice deal leh......meaning, if you put in the monthly at $235, not interest charged and your pay 2820 flat? Its cheaper then what shops offer 2950 for D200.

i already have the cash for d200 and 18-200mm prepared, but the installment is actually lower then the cash price.......man!....i will be stupid if i pay by cash.

what are the credit card to subscribe to? must be visa/master? or special plans? How do i approach the bank for this d200? if i go to the bank personally, who to seek? i dun have a OCBC credit, but i do have a fixed deposit......

If tide down by the installment plan, they don't give waiver, how?
Then got to pay the $60 fees cos can't cancel the account.
Newly open account better cos got 1st yesr waiver.

Actually you can try this... I don't know if it works... but my annual fee is due in March... you can call and ask them to cancel the easicredit... then they will ask you why you wanna cancel bla bla bla... then you say.. because of anual fee.. then they will waive for you leh.. that's what I did... and my anual fee got waive before I made commitments. ;P

So Donchua... you upgrading? :)

Hello kettobase... paying by cash is clever... at least you don't get tied down to easicredit... what happens if you forgot to pay up? Their intrest is calculated by the day... which works up to 16.8% pa which is quite an amount. ($130 savings is a buffer just in case you forgot to payup monthly.. :) it is $130 saved only when you finished paying all the installments on time) Also you will not be tempted to buy other things with the extra cash in hand... most of my friends end up buying more when they pay by installments :)

Since you are buying two things at a go, maybe there's a discount for you from shops? :)

Felt like but resisting the Force..

Yes, it works and my annual fee waive with the same trick.
My standing order to them is cancel the card if there is annual fee.

Cheers

Shop will not give a 130 discount for one thing...even if you buy both...that i am pretty sure.....for me....i would probably put in the full 2820 into the account....and leave it there......

as for temptation to buy more things......:) i am not easily tempted. and i m not one of the
strawberry generation....

btw,....who do i get the camera from if i take up the ocbc offer? buy from any camera shop can?

Guys, I have been a long time easicredit user before OCBC took over Keppel bank, and I never pay a single cent for the subscription fees. I did not use it even once for the past 10 years. Meaning that it is free, unlike Citibank's Ready Credit or DBS' Credit Line...

I received the flyer and I'm also tempting to buy, so MTL, BBB... :bsmilie:
