How about a creation of a separate "Jobs Corner" away from consumer corner, as Consumer corner technically means buying of things, ie. Mass Order, places for vendors to advertise their items to photographers ..... meaning the photographer as a consumer.

Can we have the Jobs Corner that is available to Registered Users only, similar to Buy and Sell corner where there is a form type of thing, describe natural of the job, desribe budget .... etc etc?

Like the idea very much.

Cheers
John

I think its a good idea too.... ;)

Great concept! It is a workable idea.

think it's a good idea..so ppl like me who want to find jobs as assistan can find easier...don't need to plow thru whole of consumer's corner

Good idea.

at least this will regulate the pricing for photography service rendered by photog. we can also educate and guide the newbies and help to 'open' the eyes of bargain hunters and change their perspective on how they look at us and our services.

Just to share with you guys our current thoughts though nothing is firm and concrete.

The current consumer corner was named because we wanted to start of a seperate forum for those MO from the individual buy and sell. As time goes by, all non buy and sell topics get posted onto the consumers corner as well.

At current, ClubSNAP has quite a no of subforums and for those of you who knows, more subforum=more manpower (for moderation) and more load on server.

Instead of creating another subforum for Jobs, I am suggesting that we use back the current consumer corner, and change it to a more suitable name like Other (photography?) Services. As for the seperation of MO and Jobs, posters can always add a [Job] in front of their topic similar to those doing MO who add "MO" to the topic as well.

I just want to update you guys so that you all know we have been reading and looking at this suggestion. As soon as we make a final decision, we will update this thread again.

Thanks

This is also a good idea without increasing the load facot.

But can some of the above suggestion be implemented as well... such as those pre-defined form for B&S.... basically for MO/Looking for Services/Offering Services... etc

Also in such case, the posting too cannot be edited or deleted.

cheers

i second this....perhaps can let ppl post there svs there also....
so if run a search in tt forum everything will come out lo

Maybe can ask CSers for donation for a better server? Heh..just a thought.

Anyway, I think its a good idea..or maybe a "FILTER" layer on top of Vbulletin? Is it possible? Lets say a user would select "JOBS" then all the job threads would be displayed?

We are currently concentrating on bringing up the new server as soon as possiblt (its currently being installed and configured); and we will definitely take this feedback about the Consumers Corner for consideration.

The "filter" idea is good and we will see how/when/if we can implement once the new server has been installed and everything has settled down.
