I do believe you are aware of this, but just for general knowledge for those who are not aware:
Prime lenses are less susceptible to lens flare than zoom lenses.
Why? Apart from having inadequate lens hood at all focal lengths, zoom lenses often have to contain more lens elements due to its design. These lenses therefore have more internal surfaces from which light can reflect.
As for Wide angle lenses Why it is more likely to prone to flare? Because of the likelihood of having the sun within or near the angle of view is higher. In general, wide angle lenses are often designed to be more flare-resistant to bright light sources,
