That's weird, how come the speed is so slow via Cat 5E. It shouldn't be that slow. What sort of switches are you using?dEthANGeL said:sure not? .... ignore wireless ... i'm using mainly wired connections at home unless friends come over to game or use the internet
yklim said:i know 5E enough... but cat 6 better ma... hee hee..
flash77 said:Come to think of it, don't know them too well, paiseh to ask them keep a look out also.
Besides, 3 x D2h, doubt they want to bring back.
Will give this a skip for now.

The PC might be the cause, what are you running on the P3? 100 x 5? or 133 x 4?dEthANGeL said:Server is a P3-500 (maybe this is the cause :bsmilieon a PCI raid card - Win 2003
Client is a P4 .. running Win2K pro
u got any program running behind which is storming the n/w...dEthANGeL said:Server is a P3-500 (maybe this is the cause :bsmilieon a PCI raid card - Win 2003

hmm, that may be the reason too... cos if the server could not handle the speed... the client will have to slow down the speed the have a stable transfer... 3-way hand-shake rule..espn said:The PC might be the cause, what are you running on the P3? 100 x 5? or 133 x 4?
Switch might not be configured properly also could cause the issue.yklim said:u got any program running behind which is storming the n/w...
HDD probably can't match the speed, if it's a ATA66 don't expect it to match the CAT5 speed consistently.yklim said:hmm, that may be the reason too... cos if the server could not handle the speed... the client will have to slow down the speed the have a stable transfer... 3-way hand-shake rule..
