Frankly, 17mm isn't wide enough for me, ;p but no choice ma. Limited by supplies. The next wider is 10-22, which will give you 16mm (unless I'm mistaken and u're using 1DS MKII).

yeah i know cuz the thing about the canon 17-30 lens is that after u times the 1.6 factor... 17 becomes 27... and that isn't very wide!

Two alternatives,

1D MK II = 17 x 1.3
1DS MKII = 17 x 1

Heeeeee, more modelling will help ;p

17-40L is the cheapest, best value for $ and has is the best among the 3 WA Ls.
