Yup, it is, have to be very careful, the unit is very stupidly designed inside, the speaker is connected to the back casing and 2 VERY THIN wires are connected to the system, if you didn't know this, you pulled the back casing open fast, viola, there goes your speaker.
After that you will risk exposing the LCD also, so need to be very careful no hand/finger prints on it.
But once you're thru with 8 + 4 + 4 screws, you're safe.

got a 80gb HDD....managed to swop it with the 40gb HDD lol....:devil:

i mull over it 1st...trip is not till 2 weeks later

My fingers also not very small, if you want, we can sit down side by side at some quiet place, and I'll guide you through it.
But the internal HDD is a 4200 RPM... consider replacing it with a 5400RPM HDD at least, the speed is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much faster.

Solly ah, image taken with isight off my MBP, still sick, no energy to mount my 1DS to take the image. Heehee.
Why not consider a 160GB 5400RPM HDD? :devil:
You can copy lotsa and lotsa stuff inside... :devil:
