does it make a real difference.. hmm.. i'm realli curious

understand that sensors have wider range sensitivity to the spectrum... that's why some have IR filter inbuilt... UV might also play a part in the exposure calculation...alothought not visible to out eyes.

Think it's more of the limitation of the contrast focusing system... sometimes the focus area got a more contrasty edge between the subject and background... then the focusing algorithm will be confused...

other then that check if your focusing system is on single or continous servo.... continous servo needs time to adjust.
the more contrasty edges the better for the focusing.
for the check, it need to be in one shot focusing mode and not others. reason as what u have said.

i did a search and some mentioned to perform at 1/60s, f2.8 (or largest aperture), at 45deg angle to the focus line (or subject) and at the min focusing distance.

they also repeat the checks using manual focus to confirm results in auto focus.

I doub't that after the initial 10D hoo-haa on the focusing issue... later cams seemed like no such problems already... unless he is using a different lens.

yes it does... pinkish on human skin is very nice and pleasant to the eyes. if yu're using b+w uv then don't say la... cos its totally clear (if i'm not wrong) unlike hoya.

i'm using b+w uv... would it be better to change to a hoya skylight when shooting ppl then?? :)
