Selling photos on stock photo sites

I think there are tons of website and microstock websites around.

I came across this link. Hope its helpful to you - http://www.microstockdiaries.com/which-microstock-websites-pay-the-most-per-photo.html

As for me, what i found out is that different stock website attracts different buyers. For some, nothing sells, while on others, the same picture flies off the shelf.

Hope this helps.

yup, copyrights belong to you still

And finally I just received first $100 payment from Dreamtime after 8 months as an exclusive photographer in DT. I opt to pay by bank cheque. I think this option will loose some money by bank charges. Anybody any previous experiance for this??

i started the stock photography after reading this thread and there is a lot of valuable advices and comments here. Once again thanks for everybody..:thumbsup::D

Congratulations.

But what's good about going Exclusive with Dreamtime?

Don't you make more money by uploading the same photos in other microstock sites as well?

I find dreamstime.com rejection rate is very very high :(

Thanks.. Good thing about Exclusive is we will get 20 cents for each upload and i think we will get some priority on the image searches so will increase the sale.

I am a beginner so i stick with one site (adviced by CS member) to learn about the stock photography. Yes, now i am planning to end exclusivity with DT and planning to start with other sites to have more fun.

Each upload can get 20 cents if you are exclusive? I didn't knew that... :dunno:

Thanks. I dont have paypal account and i will take one. I believe Paypal is less charges than bank cheque.

If I could recall it correctly there would be no charge with Paypal if the transaction is more than $150.

Bank cheques could get lost in the mail and they are slow. I had three cheques lost and the photo agencies had to cancel the lost cheques and reissue them.

This link is very informative. Thanks again...

Signing up for a paypal account just cost a few dollars. Paypal is more hassle free.

then your pictures need some improvement cos DT is one of the easiest actually. once you get used to their style almost every picture also can pass one lol
