Hahaha...I'm already working but still on budget. Still saving for my first DSLR.
Seller not honouring his own rules.

hmmm...if the seller has already confirmed w u tt u're the highest bidder, makes an appointment already then backs out...then i believe the seller should be condemmed..haha..
but if he did not confirm tt he is going to sell it to u, i believe the seller has the right to sell to anyone he or she deems fit.
for example now, i'm waiting to meet a buyer of my lens at $530 on sat...i have already confirmed w him i'll be sellin it to him..but i've got other offers too..with one of it actually being higher than $530...but my first priority will be the first buyer i confirmed with
if the deal doesn't go thru then i'll look at my other offers...
so in my opinion,whether a deal is confirmed already is pivotal..haha..so once an agreement is reached, one should not back out of it unless the goods do not match the seller's claim etc.
anyway good luck in finding better deals n mayb offer the BNP if u rly rly wan the camera (like in your above mentioned trade)..haha..all the best!

The good guys will be ethical and tries to follow the "unwritten rule" while the bad guys places his/her interest first before ethics and the "unwritten rule".
Whenever you enter into a B&S agreement to buy or sell anything, you should always be mentally prepared for problems or issues that might just pop up anytime. That way, when things really did not go as planned, you will not be so upset about it. S**t does happen and no one is immune to it.
I have a few bad experience myself also. As i progress along, i learn to deal with it and develop back up plans to protect myself and to move forward after the bad incident.
B&S is still a good avenue to get good deals and to liquidate your stuff. Don't loose heart just because of one lousy incident. Learn to deal with it and you will come out stronger.

1. Agreed on price and due to buyer's working hours, I travelled 45min by train & bus around 10+pm reach the place to deal. Waited 10min, sent sms no response. Called and he took so long to pick up and then pick up and bargain the price with me
Damn pissed, scolded him & hang up, wasted more than 1.5hrs late at night [to & fro]! ;(
2. This one even more evil.
Selling 2 CF cards, buyer bidded $145 I agreeded and closed the thread.
When arranging for meet up, he suddenly said $35 and that is for 1 card.
Below is the crap that he give! ;( Note the last part.
After that I did a search and saw that he has been trying to sell his new CF card. Makes me think he is sabotaging my thread so that he can sell off his CF card.

Same experience I had on yahoo auction. A guy bid and won a sony cordless phone I was selling. We fixed up time to meet up at orchard mrt. I travelled 25minutes and reached there 5 minutes before time. Waited for 10mins - called - no response.. waited for 10mins - called - no response.
I waited for 1 hour but he never picked up the phone. nor did he had the courtesy to tell me that he cannot make it.. Next day he sent me a sms that he was busy and stuck in a meeting and he rescheduled the meeting to next saturday which he will confirm later.. After that many saturdays went by but no response... the phone was put back on the auction
