but most ar. ppl's candids nowadays look more like xmm stalkers. i dunno, but my impression of candids are more of the "of that moment, where it matters".
this is candid/street photography to me

kaozz... talk about girls and women, within 24hrs 1 thread can generate 8 pages of discussion..... want to talk about photo critique, one submission can wait for 1 whole week before it gets even 1 comment .......
Err.. that's not really a valid comparison.. This is kopitiam wat.... ish different..
If anyhow tcss at the critique section with kena warning/infraction/ban from mods..... [edit] w/o tcss the thread won't move as fast usually.

can just replace the gist of what i said with "xxx is MY XMM". unless she is related to you in some way (and therefore you would have clarified that much earlier, i suppose), same points stand.
when you can respond to one entire post with just one weak counterpoint nitpicking on who said what... shows how much logic you have on your side. :bsmilie::thumbsup:

btw, if you think that is "streets and candids"... there are much more meaningful moments than some girl with a camera walking down the street.
i'm not one to dictate what you do with your life, but i am more than entitled to voice my opinion that you need a life. same for leong23, tainted, and the other people who have expressed their opinion.
for someone who wishes to put on an appearance of being not narrow-minded, you sure don't seem to have an open mind with regards to others' comments.
问心无愧， you can say that this is the case, but actions always speak louder than words. :devil: defensiveness is a clear sign that you are not comfortable with what you are doing.. otherwise why do you care what people say if you have a clear conscience?

As someone who regularly reads this forum/occasionally posts, I'm sorry to say that I'm pretty disgusted with the blatant lack of maturity on display here. This same lack of maturity is obviously one clear reason why the fine line between portrait photography and perverse, XMM, whatever-else-you-wanna-call-it photography is so often crossed.
I have no idea who some of you people are. If you are married and have wives, shame on you. You not only showcase your distinct lack of social refinement, but you also trivialise your own marriages.
If you are still single, I don't think any of these antics will win you any favours.
If you are a potential detractor of mine and are all ready to say it is easy for me to take the moral high ground, then fine. But I'd rather be on the moral high ground than throw away my dignity over a conversation spawning from a girl at the zoo.

I've been through that phase before, but at the end of the day, it's all fantasy unless you made the move there and then. Savor the moment(s), and move on.
Also, I think it was not appropriate to post her picture here (as for reasons nightmare has mentioned), though it's not mine to say.
