Urban Density

Urban Density by Scintt, on Flickr

Caught the last glimpse of the twilight yesterday just in time. Since I was rushing to shoot this scene, I didn't use my pano gears, just clamped my camera on the railing and fired off four frames (one normally exposed and one under per frame) for the pano. After blending them separately, I found that they couldn't be stitched properly in both Autopano and CS6's photomerge function. Tried it out with PTGui and it worked flawlessly.

beautiful work.

Thanks Zaren!

What does luminosity masking do?

It's a technique used to selectively adjust parts of an image based on their tones. Pretty complicated technique, and I haven't gotten the hang of it yet. My current method involves basic blending of two files using Tony Kuyper's Photoshop actions. You can read up more here.

nice work, how do you get the HDB so straight in WA

Set-up for 'LazarCiti':

Skypark 110613 by Scintt, on Flickr

I had to clamp my camera to the glass panes as tripods aren't allowed at Marina Bay Sands Skypark. This was how the long exposure composite was done. It's pretty stable, despite the looks of the contraption, but that did not stop me from having the jitters.

is the glass pane thick enough to hold the weight?
