scenes from orchard road

@jgjonathangoh: thanks, man... a bigger group might attract too much attention and would be harder to get raw candid shots, people might start avoiding the cameras. It's better if you shot quickly and discreetly so they wouldn't even know you shot them :)

@aidorian: you're advice on metering is spot on :) and thanks for bookmarking my flickr page :)

@numnumball: thanks, bro.. i'm glad you liked it. The uncle with the beads (#1) is actually my very first good street shot, and it's pretty special to me :)

Hello dannysantos,
This latest one with the worker and the model on the big billboard is unique.
Examining it, it seems to be telling a naughty little story with the worker holding on to a hose at a strategic position of his anatomy.
Naughty naughty.
But very eye catching.
Great, great!

Thanks, bro :) There's 2 ways to look at this shot -- the first one is naughty little story as you've mentioned... another way is it's juxtaposition of social structure as a fellow photographer posted in my flickr page. From this, the shot shows the glamorous rich living large, and the laborer underneath.

nice series u have here...keep em coming...

Dear santos

your shots inspires me alot. I like following your photos in flickr.

Numbers one and three are really nice. Where are these taken again? What cam were you using? You have a great series here. :thumbsup:

hey bro. what format are these pictures in? cos apparently, i took in raw and after pp, i saved it in Jpeg and the pics didnt turn out as nice when posted online.
any idea how to preserve the quality of the image, while keeping the file size reasonably manageable?

@babycherie: thank you, i'll try :)
@bernong1: i'm glad you liked it :)
@sirswa: thank you for following my flickr, much appreciated :)
@slash56: hehe thanks! i waited for the right moment.
@krissears: thanks! All these shots are taken in Orchard Road. For #1 & 3, these were taken near Takashimaya. These are old shots, taken last year with a Nikon D80.
@soulFLY: thank you! :)

@Yapster: Hey thanks, bro :) I also added you in my facebook.
@adrianseetho: These were also taken in raw. I think you should make sure that when you convert to jpg, put the compression quality to high or maximum to ensure that the quality is retained.
@kshen: thanks :D

hey danny,

can I join u in the street photography...since I will be free in Aug...

cheers,

@babycherie: sure thing, just send me a PM come Aug :) I have to warn you though, street photography is not that exciting. It's mostly walking for hours and hours, keeping a low profile, and looking around until you get that one good shot ;)
@Tupi Guy: Yup, correct... that's in ION. It's that big Dior billboard.
@DaXiong: Thanks bro :cool:

danny,

sure thing...will pm you again.
cheers..:)
