You can add a battery pack SD-8A to have a faster recharge or another alternatives is using 3rd party battery pack like Quantum 1+,turbo or 2+ to have almost "instant" recharge. Just be mindful of the flash when using with battery pack.

Yeah... fire too fast without allowing the flash to cool and you may fry the circuits or blow the bulb like some of "our pros" here...

depends on your needs..... i have been using the SB600 and it is very satisfactory....

2nd that, my SB600 is really good enough for my usage. Well if my share price shoot up today, then I can have more bullets to consider SB800.
