Save me from the BBB bug !

when you do the switch, wouldn't one lens be exposed for a short while and the sensor left open? okay maybe i'm too paranoid...

The sensor will be exposed for a short time, but it's perfectly ok as long as you don't change lenses in bad conditions.
With practice, you can expose the sensor for less than 5 seconds, so dust will be minimal.

Put it this way, 5 secs, or 5 mins, dust will still get on, so why worry? As wonglp already said(and can personally testify XD) Olympus has the best anti dust, even my aging E-1 don't give me any issues, so shoot more, worry less

Dust can clean and remove digitally, pictures gone means forever, and you'll want kick yourself in the rear if you missed the moment

Can someone pls tell me how does the 17 1.8 compares with the 25 1.4?

I have both lens... 25 is sharper and AF is faster... I prefer 25 than the 17 as I shot my kids very often... now I use my 25 only indoor n at night, during the day, I use my 12-35 f2.8

yes, spidey89 is right... dust will go in... at least I think it is much easier to blow the dust off from my m4/3 than DSLR. For the DSLR, it is very tricky as there is another panel or mirror(?) inside so it is really hard to check if whether all dust are blown out. So take it easy...

Wow you already have the 17 1.8? I shoot my baby boy (14months old) with my 20mm and the AF is getting too slow for my boy. Wondering if I should change it to 17 1.8 or 25 1.4. I like the 25mm but I'm worried of the rattling sound appearing on videos.

12-35 is out of my budget. I use mostly my 45mm and 20mm for outdoors.. So would 17 1.8 be better for outdoors than 25mm?

With DSLR, you have the mirror and the shutter which is housed inside a deep chamber as compared to the m43 cameras, sensor is just there, plus the dust reduction is very effective. I don't know why you were so worried in the first place, other cameras got anti dust, but the dust just moves from point A to point B to point C to point D. And now I have some sticky dust stuck on my D3's sensor but I can't be bothered to send for cleaning since I usually shoot f4 and 5.6 because of the nature of my job at the moment. And did a studio shot a few weeks back, mainly shot on black background, the dust blends right in even at f11. Only worry is if I have to shoot on grey or white background. I'll send my camera for cleaning early next year hahaha, but I digress

Got my lens ! Baby was sleeping so took the photos in a very dark room and had to use iso 6400.
straight out camera jpegs.
the baby shot was so dark i had to MF using some shadow outline and just try my luck.
quite noisy hor, but i feel it's very good for iso 6400. my ep3 iso 2000 already so noisy already always do noise reduction.

Very nice! Is that the 25mm? I like the 25mm too.. am not too bothered Abt the rattling sound on my ep3 when taking pics but think the rattling sound will turn up in videos which then will bother me.

yup ! it's the 25mm ! I think will be alot nicer when outdoors !
I haven't checked whether there is a rattling sound. I didn't notice any when taking the photos but I was not using my ears but my eyes then.

Think on omd there's no rattling sound. Only on pens.

Congratz and nice pics! Sweet baby too. :)
For ISO 6400, that's very little noise already.

I shot with iso1600 max... iso6400 is extreme which I don't use...
