on problem for me using other brands of Batt on my GP charger.

Just ensure that your charger stated the kind of batt it can be use:
1)Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH)
2)Nickel Zinc(NiZN)
3)Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries

New eneloop can use for 1500 cycles. I haven't try it with my 550D vertical grip, i want to test it out can last for how many shoot.

I got mine from Tecpoint today too. He just delivered it to me this evening.
Anyway... a dumb qns... Do we need to charge the batteries before use?
I tried charging it just now... for 4hrs... (forgot to stop the power) and its dam hot now lol

no need. u can use it right away. the batteries came pre-charged already.

actually for the batteries above, got differences? all I see is colorful ones cost more, and all are 2000mah.
for charger i saw in earlier posts, 2hr is recommended?

The newer version have a total of 1500 charges as compared to the 1000charge older version.

oh thanks. i managed to google em and got their website. can go down to the shop and get right?? but seems like their sanyo eneloop charger + AAs batteries cost $46 which is more costly than ebay which is at $41.
