Hi guys, I have a problem.
I purchased two SANYO 160x SD cards (one 4GB, one 2GB) from SITEX 06 today. The 4GB one didn't work with my Panasonic LX2 (I checked with the people there and they said the card IS SDHC). My computer was able to recognize it and the speed was very fast, close to 25MB/s. However it is rather useless since I can only use it on my PC and not on any portable devices (camera, PDA etc).
I went back to SITEX, and the guys were really nice and took the card back and gave me two 2GB cards (same 160x speed specs).
However, much to my disappointment, all my 2GB cards do not perform at the "160x high speed" speed. It is more like 1-2MB/s and mind you, that's like those normal 12x-16x SD cards, slower than my "normal" SD card.
I am shocked at the huge speed differences and the thing is, I double-checked with the staff and the booth adverts cleared stated the speed is "high speed 160x". There is certainly no room for error for "16.0x" since obviously that does not qualify for high speed and their posters say otherwise. The product packaging, and sticker on the card also clearly says "high speed 160x".
