Samsung NX Mini

dont know if the camera no good or the photographer no good...

Like I said it's just a camera for daily usage, if you want blur effects, stick to dslr it's best. Those photos are without editing and it will come out underexposed. I would need to brighten it but it's a good camera around for travels and selfies

The pictures that you direct uploaded looked blur...

Yeah, there's definitely something going on with the images shared via forum attachment (weird compression??), quite fuzzy, looking like they came out of a first-gen cellphone camera. TS, I'd stick to uploading via your computer for a better representation of what you're seeing from the camera.

my guess is that the hardware or software is resizing and compressing the images.

Bro (Windcaster), a few questions to ask,

1) Is there any visible shutter lag in the Samsung NX mini?
2) How about the battery life (I know, I have read the spec, and have read some reviews, but I would really like to know from real life experience, approximately, how many shots can you get from one charge).
3) Will the LCD be totally washed off in bright sunlight?
4) The speed of the autofocus in good lighting, how good, accurate and fast was it?

Do Singapore sell SR2NX02 remote shutter?

Sorry been busy with work
1. It might have a slight lag in low light
2. Depends on usage, when I was in Hong Kong, if I just do cafe hopping and some light exploration, it would've been about two days or so. If I go to wax museum or Disney land I will have to charge it at night as it will be down two bars?
3. That is definitely, I haven seen a camera that the LCD will still be clear under direct sunlight even phones
4. Low light would be slower as it is not those 1.8 lens

i still cannot decide on samsung nx mini or sony rx100m3. Sony wins in terms of aperture, zoom and evf. Samsung wins with its touchscreen, selfie software (blink/smile to shoot) and overall usability.

anyone knows if the F1.7 lens will ever be released? That should change the competition...

And don't forget that the NX Mini comes with a full version of Lightroom 5. ;)

Thanks. I have decided to give it a miss now. The price is nice... but I tested it in a megastore and doesn't like the handling (somehow), don't get me wrong it is a good camera, did everything it is suppose to do and did them well.

I also try the RX100 recently... don't really feel comfortable with it. So now I am back in the market lurking around...

in terms of usability, i like the micro usb charging for samsung nx mini. that means i can share my phone charger. charge in car too.

overall samsung nx mini is a camera one will use daily. i am just skeptical about iq though. also read of distortion with the current 2 lenses.

i have olympus em10 with couple prime lenses, but only use these when there are events or overseas holiday. upgraded to em10 due to touchscreen still cater to masses who want hassle free photo taking. samsung nx mini touchscreen is responsive and definitely plus point.

Need some advices here bro/sis, I was thinking of getting this for vlogging and taking still images / selfies with my girlfriend. I'm intending to use this camera to take some pictures of my model car too. Since it comes with LR5 for the zoom kit compared to the pricier Sony RX100 MKIII, would this camera be enough for my usage or the RX100 MKIII is a much better camera for a long time use? TIA! :)

Frankly speaking, the NX mini could do all that you have mentioned and do them excellently. If Samsung chose to develop the camera more (adding more lenses and other accessories) I can see that it will be more versatile than even the RX100 mkIII. But I would not say that it is a much better camera as compared to the mkIII, just a different camera. For people who want convenience without the need to keep changing lenses, mkIII is a good camera to go (although very expensive at the moment).

Is it better to get from Funan shops or directly from samsung store? Forgot to ask is, when doing video, does stereo and mono mic have big difference? Thanks bro. :)

You should ask the shops, drop them an email to request for quotation. Frankly speaking street price is supposed to be lower than SRP which Samsung store is selling.

As for video, you really could hear a difference between stereo and mono mic, as to the acceptance level, different people is different. Anyway, I seldom do videography, so I cannot advise you much in this matter.

i bought one with the 9mm pancake lens at $449 for my wife

she's using GM1 with 20mm
I'm using e-pl5 with 45mm/samyang 7.5mm

we both agree that the NX Mini is a very poor camera
but we like it for the selfie mode (Wink Shot)

Just a WINK and the camera starts counting down from 3 secs
and auto cosmetic mode

but for normal photo taking.. really cannot make it..
