You need to wait about 6 to 8 weeks if you order from Fujifilm SC. In my darkest hours without a battery, a brother from John 3:16 told me, "Buy the battery before you buy the camera". I will always remember these words of wisdom.

Haha...It does come with a battery...but I guess most of us do get a second one for spare or for grip...increase the usage duration....

I bought my camera in Dec...and the original spare battery from Fuji HQ...
