hmmm thanks......I still dunno if I should get the s5 Pro or D90. Really stim with S5 pro natural color tone & dynamic range. Most of the time I will be taking pics under low light condition (iso 400 or iso 800) So, noise is a major concern to me Dpreview doesn't seems to favour S5 pro in terms of noise. Hope I am not asking too much but I would greatly appreciated it if someone can post pics of S5 pro vs D90 in terms of noise or if not maybe just unprocessed noise of iso 200, 400, 800, 1600 for me to see see

See my famous "duck" photos here, and arch photo here. ;)

Unlike the D90, the noise from the S5 Pro looks natural and thus acceptable.

Fellow CSer and S5 Pro user, Richard, has an article on shoot at night (and in low light) with the S5 Pro. Read it here.

Money can be earned. ;)

Well... consider that I paid S$2,550 for my S5 Pro in 2007. To me, S$1,100 is a steal.

my 1st s5pro was $2400 in 2007. slightly cheaper than urs:bsmilie:. $1,100 to get superb pictures.......that's peanuts. of course the person behind it makes it fly!

and i got a few tins of peanuts at home.... don't tell anybody!

HI guys (and gals if any.. ;p). I'm just wondering if any of you have seen S100FS? I'm wondering how is the image quality compared to S5 Pro? Coz i've seen D90's results and the colours are just not what I expected. On the other hand, if I get S5 pro, the lens are rather old. i really wonder if fuji is going to release a new slr next year..... But S100FS is also quite good, so i wonder how is the image quality compared to S5 pro?

Thanks!!

I have known others who own the S100FS, and have seen images from this camera. All I can say is the S5 Pro is the "king of the hill" in terms of image quality and dynamic range.

"Lens"? Are you referring to "camera" instead?

Unfortunately, there will not be a successor for the S5 Pro according to some of Fujifilm staff. There is no official news yet, so I am hoping there will be one. However, it is very unlikely as Fujifilm is focusing mainly on developing their consumer and prosumer models now.

hi Photobum, thanks for the reply. Actually yes, I do mean the camera not the lens ;p. I'm still hoping Fuji will get a new SLR out sometime next year with better resolution.

Thanks for the reply! :)

sorry have to remove
