All parameters set as 'STD' in camera except DR which was set at 400%. From memory none of the highlights were blown.

impressive eh :D

Indeed it is! And the metering system was excellent as well. So far I've found little need to alter the exp comp when using matrix metering to shoot. I've always dialed in + 1/3 stop as a habit however, in order to expose to the right.

The exposure of the S5 Pro is accurate indeed. At most, I find myself dialing +0.3 EV to compensate for the slight underexposure under some circumstances.

It's also somewhat comforting to have a thought at the back of my mind that, even if I overexpose by mistake most of the highlights will still hold detail and be recoverable on computer. With other cameras I need to be more mindful of the blinking highlight warning.

yeah i also + 0.3ev.. find that most shot underexposed by a bit.. but some are perfect at 0

same here +0.3ev. compared to the s3 i find that the s5 underexposes slightly.

I also dialed in +0.3 EV. Of course in tricky situations, I will dial in +1.3EV

Another straight from the camera. All parameters 'STD' except DR at 400%. According to the blinking highlight warning on the LCD screen, only a portion of that bright highlight in the bottom left was 'blown'.

just a few shots i shoot over the weekend at Hong Seh Motors open house at the Paddock.
my first actual shoot with the S5, so still not very good with it.
some photos turned out dull, some over exposed and some under exposed for some reasons (i still trying to figure).
hope you guys can give me some pointers. :)

all photos straight out from camera in Jpeg, only resized and added siggy.
