Ok lets start something constructive. And start off with something like what kind of photography do we shoot?
I personally like landscapes, objects. I do love portraits but i never really shot them. Probably because i need to know more babes :P

not really if you actually go and count the hours spent, someone ever did an analysis break down before.

contents close to the heart:bsmilie: The themes i choose are linked to my obsession with the passing of time. I do weddings on-off basis and most of the time i do street portraitures these days.

It's a long journey but i am glad i've found friends of the same interests like you guys!

Anyone here uses the Tokina 12 - 24?
I was thinking of getting a cpl filter but from the stuff i've read so far, it doesn't seem to go very well. Any advise?

i am thinking of Sig 10-20 instead... never heard about the cpl filter stuffs... what's da problem it posed? vignette?

I don't have one to try out but from what i've read, its something to do with polarizing angle being 90 degrees and the UWA being wider then that or something causing weird results. It would also cause vignetting... I'm not too sure. Hoping someone here has tried it

Just to revive the Topic again and wondering what settings do you guys prefer to shoot at? I find myself preferring to shoot in in film modes F1 & F1b for people.. It kinda looks better than without the film modes.. I could be wrong but whats your view on this?

I use F1B for everything... F2 depends if i'm shooting scenery and i want very blue skys. Standard DR100 if i need the speed (which is hopeless btw) And standard DR100 colour change to B/W if i'm shooting at very high iso and lazy to convert.

Nope... Haven't had the heart to fork out $$$ for filters yet. The only filters i have are the Marumi UV Haze from mchant. Still considering about getting a 77mm uv filter to replace my single coated hoya filter. Wanted to get a cpl filter but i don't know. A gnd would be more suitable for my 12 - 24. But thats also $$$ :(

Hi all. Which software do you use to convert RAW to JPEG? Also, anyone using third party battery? As you know, the original NP-150 is no longer in production. Any bad experiences?

I just use jpeg straight lol... I'm lazy so i skip the whole post processing phase. But if i do have to convert, then its photoshop. Don't know about the 3rd party batt's thou. I went to a shop once and tried the nikon 3rd party batts cuz the guy said it would work. Didn't work at all. It kept showing low batt. So my solution is get a MB-D200 and use AA batt's. 4 gp2700 mah batts will only cost you like $19? So about $30 and you have one set of batts ready to go.
