was really looking forward to upgrade S2 -> Pro Series before going to EOS....now my dream is really gone...:cry:

Hmm.... Keep ur S2 I'd say, and go straight to the EOS range.

The 'jump' between S2 and EOS is not that significant if u'd learnt abt aperture & shutter speed.

The only diff is the handling.

Had the same idea but dropped it as he price would be around he same as that of the S2 andfeature wise, not a great difference. Will stick to the S2 until it dies.

yupz.. same here. one thin i miss apart frm no external hotshoe is e optical viewfinder.. e digital one nt v. useful.

How true. Bought an external slave flash for the cam and love the output but as flash is off centre the pics tend to be extra bright at the side.

Simple gn19 at TCW for $38
Pro Looking gn28 at MS Color for $50 (Swivel left, right, up, and down; flash head moves from wide to tele as well).

How true. Bought an external slave flash for the cam and love the output but as flash is off centre the pics tend to be extra bright at the side.

Maybe if you bounch the flash off the ceiling, it will solve that problem. That should give you a more pleasing look as well.

So no more G series and Pro series. Seems a waste as the Pro series only came out with the Pro 1.

Maybe... the G series and Pro series will be replaced by the EOS3000D soon?
