wah this is an eye-opener for me. I mean we seldom see this kinds of festives photos. They actually allowed you to take photos of them?

Yah, they do allow but some hell deities don't like flash..so must be careful;)
Everyweek there's some festivals going around in Sg, many photographers do come along and take pics.

Look at my calender for May events n you'll know how happening it is:

O i c......once i got chase off for snapping photos. just using a PnS cam to shoot also kenna shout at. U join Canon outing session?

I just got e CHDK crack for RAW for my S5 IS... I was wondering how to post-processe raw files. I'm noob to this. =)

Anybody knows how to save the Exif data for the RAW photos taken using the CHDK program for S5is?

I can't seem to get it recorded in my RAW shots

wow there can be a crack for RAW in S5 IS? thats cool beans.

shall the S5 ISians unite. i wanna see what you guys have come up with. we can learn from each other

Hi, I use DNG4PS2 to convert the crw files to dng. When you take raw pics, a jpg is also saved. When both the crw and jpg is in the same folder, the dng4ps2 program copies the exif from the jpg to the dng. BTW, does anyone have a problem with some of the DNGs coming out with either a green or yellow tinge? I'm facing a lot of problems trying to get good skin tones with those DNGs.

Velasco : Thanks for e reply

Hmm... but the Exif data recorded on Jpeg seems to be limited to only the Cameras allowable values. eg. max 15s exposure for anything higher than that or F8.0 for a F11.5 shot.

Will go try that DNG4PS2 you recommend. I'm currently experimenting Raw Therapee but the White balance is hard to set in Night Landscape photos

Some high speed experimenting.

Here is a pic of water droplet from kitchen that I just took using the S5 IS

perfect1.jpg

Using CHDK Settings:

F 10.1 (Camera Exif data records F8 )
1/64000 s (Camera Exif data records 1/3200)
ISO 80
Manual Focus
Macro @ 18.6 mm ( 111.6mm for 35mm equivalent)
Large Resolution Super Fine Jpeg
Camera Flash used in P mode +1Ev

Cropped & Gamma Corrected

Picture seems noisy although ISO was set to a low value of 80.

Comments appreciated.

Here's a few shots i took at Wat Phra Keow, BKK.... I think S3 works brillantly in daylight conditions. But I am still trying to figure how to take good night pics with my S3. I found a slave flash for S3 at SIM LIM, but i am a little septical about it. Any comments on S3 Slave Drive?

Feel free to C&C.... this is my first post after owning my S3 for a year.
