macro lo. i nv get any extra len yet. kinda broke liao. NSF u know.

I'm really amazed on how u guys can capture an excellent detailed macro shots of insects!

Did u use any filters or added lens to your S5?

You should be able to shot with the zero cm super macro with the Sx IS. But if the insect is alive, think you need to buy the macro attachment....they won't let you get too close to shoot them.:):bsmilie:

Try taking them around 6.30-7. The colour of the sky is very different at dusk. Only thing is, it is a really short window, so you might have to wait around for a while if you do not want to miss it. You will get the lights of the buildings, and also a lighter coloured sky.

Cool stuff Raymondb, I'm also taking raw shots with my s5is now, but am a noob at post-processing raw at the mo. Still experimenting, hope to get results as good as yours :)

Hi Raymondb,
This shot also by RAW? Very detailed and also sharp. Wats the aperture did u use?
Anyway do you have night shots? I tried several shots but somehow or rather, the S5 cant really make the pictures as sharp as I want to.

No, the last shot is a direct jpeg.

For night shots, I do have a few, which I have posted in my flickr account
here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/raymondbphotos/sets/72157601457761717/
Some handheld, some with tripot.
May not be as sharp as what you expect though.

Cheers,
