This was taken while I was still sitting in the car. Just asked the driver to stop, wound down the window and snapped a number of shots. The padi fields there can be quite amazing.

very nice panoramic shot

wonder how it might look if that car mirror was remove but then again it kinda makes the shot inteesting :)

nice attempt

you may want to use a slower shutter and smallest aperture of f8

use Manual to control these :)

oh a tripod will help tremendously for such settings :)

how do u guys get the bokeh? wat settings? using manual focus? noob using s5is as well

Think the word you are looking for is thin depth of field (DOF).

Switch the macro mode on. DOF will be really thin.

i think by using the word "bokeh" he is trying to say indirectly how do you get that shaloow DoF background blur using what f-stop settings :)

so both terms have the same related meaning since "bokeh" means the blur background :)

Background blur & bokeh are two different things. You can have a nice blur background, with not so great bokeh.

Blur background can be achieved with a smaller f-stop (larger aperture) and with greater distance between the subject and the camera.

Bokeh is more to do with the shape and size of the 'blur disk'. Go google it, there are plenty of sites that give in-depth explanations. No space to write it all down here. ;)

Yeah, I left the side view mirror there on purpose. Changes the feel of the shot.

Thanks for viewing! :)

Nice processing! Like how the lights curve. You might want to try cropping out the bottom, I find the rough water a bit distracting.
