Am I being too critical of pictures? I tend to be a grump when it comes to my own pictures....
cerebrus said:Yeah, almost what I think.
#1 Good focus on the cats eyes! Cat at the left of the frame with more space on the right might have been better.
#2 Green twig in background is distractng. Shot at full tele?
#3 Use the thorny leaf the squirrel as the bottom of the frame.

#1 Watch out for the lens flare. Sky on the right seems a bit blown, rest of it has good exposure. Would it have been better if you had only taken the strange rock with the sky in the background? I find the boardwalk to be a bit distracting.blacvios said:Let me add a few pics to liven the thread, all using S2IS some with raynox wide converter 6600pro

#2 Noting much to say. Its a good idea to get people in some building shots so you get a feeling of how big the object you are shooting is.
#4 I like the lines across and the composition of the roof. Would have been better if the top edge of the roof of the temple was not cropped.
Having fun with your DCR-250? Some people have problems focusing with it.blacvios said:Thanks for the kind comments, it reinforces what i feel, some of them like the temple shot there were some limitations like i was already tip toeing at the edge of the step need a wider converter i guessed.![]()
Ok, set your focus to infinity, apature f4 to f8. Zoom your lens almost all the way out. Frame your critter, then move the camera towards & away from subject. Once it seems focused, shoot! It takes a while to get used to. My pet spider was taken using it.blacvios said:Me too have problems but was a free gift so what the heck![]()
