Just returned from HK Disneyland. All shots taken handheld. Except for the first shot, for the rest, I was shooting the fireworks in movie mode and took several shots using picture in movie mode. No idea what the setting is. I suppose it is "Auto". Shots shown here not for artistic merit but to show what can be achieved "automatically".

The swivel LCD screen is great for taking pictures above other peoples' heads but it will be better if the S3 has a wider angle lens.

I took all shots in "Auto", if I remember correctly

I'm not too good at experimenting with settings. Usually use the various camera modes only.

HK Victoria Harbour Symphony of Lights. Auto. Tried taking using Nightshot mode but not so clear.

pic 3 and the fest of lights is nice..

hey guys have u ever tried FOILAGE mode,
did you notice that the pictures are better satuated and nicer.. for pics like greenary, the horizon, the sky ect.

cos i prefer to work on the P Tv Av M modes, i was wondering what colour setting is the cloest to that.

you think
contrast +1
sharpness +2
satuation +2
green +1
blue +1
red +1
skin tone +1

can match the colour settings on FOILAGE?

previously someone asked me to use vivid but it doesn't get that same effect/ level of colours as of FOILAGE.

cheers!=)

Thanks. I just realised it should be Symphony and not Festival of Lights. So, I have corrected my text.

Bro, watch your horizons....most are tilted to the left, the Ocean park pic is also slightly slanted.:)

eh does using a polarizer for normal pics (those w/o sky) make the pics mroe dull?

It does. As polariser filter off some light in a certain manner, the amount of light reaching the sensor is less, thus, more dull if the lighting condition is not bright to start with.

Hey, I'll like to know what is the software to reduce noise?

What did you white balance on? Your trees should come out looking almost white.
