Sorry, what is BBB VIrus road??

hahaha... BBB Virus means "BUY BUY BUY Virus". It is a very contagious disease that spreads in forums like this. We all see other pples nice pictures and neat tricks with fun toys and get this overwhelming urge to buy more toys for ourselves. And once you head down that road.... you tend to go down down down... try to resist the urge.

PP means post processing which means modifying the picture after you have taken it. There are a lot of diff sw that can do that and the simple more common stuff are like cropping, resizing which you may already have done in order to post the pic on this forum. More complex stuff will usually require more specialised sw like photoshop.

You can find out more about all the acronyms used on this forum at this link:

You may also find this section interesting to read. It's where I am still finding a lot of useful info. I am also still a noobie too! :):

Just got back from Taiwan, how is this few shots? All are handheld using S3 and P mode most of the time.

One thing good about S3, you can bring up above your head to shot some of those shot like first pic.
The place is pack with people that saturday night.. see the crowd at 士林市场.
Didn't know Taiwanese like 臭豆腐, every night market seems to have it now. Taste not bad but don't like the smell.

then how u manage to get close up? i go near and the thing gets blurred up w/o super macro mode

U can try to focus few times. As I know that S3 focus sometime may have to try few times only can get what I want so I alway try few times and also try not to stand too near to the object that you wanna shot. I try get low Appeture so that i can have a blur back ground and with my object more clear, that is what my understanding. :)

But for the second pic I used macro setting.

oh so u were playing with appature lah...! =D
