S1/S2/S3 pics. thread

Just checking i'm being quoted 280 bucks sing for wide lens converter the WC DC 58A whereas the official website says the retail price is 199..am i being ripped off or what?? Is there anything i can do about it cause i got this emolux wide lens,and my pics have bad barrel distortion and the corners are a blurry mess...So i'm trying to exchange the emolux crap for an official one.But if its 280..i gotta like top up a hundred bucks more...

So anyone has a wide converter lens and can kindly tell me on the pluses and minuses of the lens...thanks

Hi cire07, welcome to the S3 IS pic thread.

For Canon, if the model comes with IS (like S3 IS), do note that IS = Image Stabiliser. So answer to your question is, Yes, S3 IS has image stabilisation system, similar to the Panasonic's.

I am considering the new Canon S3 IS... any feedback?

does it have any form of optical stabilisation like Panasonic's? Or is that important at all?

Much much better. But a bit OOF/handshake...sharpen it a bit may be better in my opinion...

Much better! However, you still have a bit of the brown twigs. Its best to try to get an even background, so that the eyes are not distracted away from the subject.

thanks for the advice .. think the bit of OOF is due to wind :cry: cuz i am on tripod and put 2 sec timer for this shot ..

Yeah, the wind often makes things move around just abit. Ruins the shot.

Tue night 9+pm saw the AMD working over time....because it was dark out side and they lighted up the inside, can see that it is still very empty.....just hope to shoot it at night when its all furnished inside!

Its a pano, think 6 images altogether. Ill go check the EXIF when I am back home. 32mm is not wide enought to shoot this scene.

Which slave you using? Think you have your setup correct, does not seem to have harsh shadows.
