Hey GeckoZ, doest the black card thingy works for S3? Any trial shot? How long was the exposure you set? Thanks!

black card method useable for any camera, it only covers the lense and stop/reduce exposure when the shutter is open. I used ard 6 - 15 seconds.

6 seconds:
advantage - fast processing time, you can catupre another shot soon after as compared to 15 seconds.

disadvantage - you won't be able to capture a lot of frames in one shot...

Hi cerebrus,

Tot at the BSB can catch the CBD as the background? If not than my view at the Marina foodcourt is about the same....I like multiple burst actually.
This was on Esplande Bridge.

picture 2 is indeed nice.. pity dere's smth dat seems to be blockin e merlion.. but nth u cld do abt. e architectural facilities. if only ur fireworks ainT cropped off.. hmm.. but den again to contradict myself, if they werenT cropped, it wld gif u a different view as e merlion wld be more centralized (hmm.. nt too nice at all :bsmilie: )
but i like e way it turned out.. almost symmetrical.

TY TY!! I only took three pictures that day, rest all was video. So was quite lucky.

Yeah, there was this tent there, too bad about it. I just happend to aim the camera in the right direction when I took this, just had to crop a thin sliver away on the right to make it symmetrical.

Thanks for looking!

wasted.. you should have brought a video cam and another digicam. just set your video cam to record the full 15minutes (or lesser) and then concentrate on shooting the fireworks on ur S2. wah, then u will have 2 sets of beautiful memories. :bsmilie:

thanks for sharing!

Nice moment, well captured. I like #1, many be can crop tighter?:)

this is kinda cool a-frame-within-a-frame picture. The shadows and hi-lights in it are... abstract!

Thanks GeckoZ, you are always so prompt in viewing this thread.:)

Can give me some comment on the composition? What would you do if you were taking this shot? By the way, the constraint is I cannot go anymore forward/upward. Thanks.:)

No problem, i'm a noob trying to discover the limits of S2 also. :bsmilie:
After thinking through again, I guess I would have compose it the same way as you due to the constrain of movements.

Ok, ok. Thanks.:)

I like the concept. Blown highlights seem to fit the picture. It is a bit skewed though. Also, is it possible to shoot it so that the supports on the side of the first window cannot be seen?

Yah loh, I should have taken a step back so that the beams at the side are out of sight. The over at the top is ok with you huh? Ok...Thanks for the comment...:)
