The Adorable Duo
They are so adorable! They look pretty healthy from your pics (except maybe the sparrow, but it might be 'cos it's still young?).. They will survive! :) You're from Life Sciences in NUS? I was from the pioneer batch of Life Sciences, I'm still at NUS now :)

Are you really the foster daddy to this cutie now? Better not let my khakis at the World of Nature find out, otherwise they will camp outside your house to stalk this cutie. I want to sayang it.

To Inspired, I was from School of Computing (just graduated) but I have friends from the Life Science side:)

To Pearl, the Myna birdie's shot was entitled misunderstood because I thought it fell from the nest and was unable to return to the nest. I wanted to return it, but it was really high, away from my reach. So I took it home and did some research on how to feed a fledgling Myna. In my research, I came across a university's page that says they learn how to fly from the ground up, with the parents watching close-by. That's when I thought it made sense, because many Mynas were making lots of noise when I picked up this little guy. :bsmilie:
So I returned it to where we met, and turned out its legs were stronger than when I picked it up. I gave it lots of sayang its head though:)

And to all who thinks my foster son is cute, I agree. It is one little charming fella, although it broke my heart when he refused to eat for two days and I had to call SPCA to get it checked at their own vet (the sparrow went along too, because it is still small and I have no experience of keeping baby birds).:bheart:
Kingfishers are not meant to be kept indoors anyway.

My Life Science friend said it will prolly mature in 1 or 2 weeks time, so I always keep my little friends in my prayers so that they will be strong enough to take to the air soon :D

Hey, I starting keeping birds as pets when I was 5 years old. I have lots of experience with birds.

I told a friend about it and he told me there's a telephone number that we can call for help when coming across injured birds etc.

What did you try to feed your little baby that it refused to eat?

I tried giving it raw fish, it didn't want to eat. I tried feeding it water with pipette, it also refused to have it. What is the phone number I can call? Coz now is the season for fledglings to learn to fly and 3 birds in 3 days... Just makes me think I may encounter more.
