RX1R II

So...has anyone pre-ordered the RX1R II then? If so what incentive did they offer for early signup?

I think its a samsonite luggage. Sony thailand offer was an a&a acam-310 strap.

But $5k is really a killer

So how low do you reckon regular retailers like MS, TK foto etc will go with cash prices...4,900/4850?

Sony product does not hold price well.

After the initial craze for the new product, the price will drop nicely when ample stocks are available. Take for example, the A7RII. It has dropped quite a bit in price and lots of stocks available after launch.

I think for RX1RII, just check out the price after Chinese New Year.

Just out of curiosity how much is now the a7rII?

Also all electronics don't hold price well. Buy a camera to shoot, not invest :P

SRP is $4999. Check with your friendly shop for a better price. Some shops are adjusting their prices today, so best to call for fresh pricing.

Out of curiosity asked one shop for price and got told 4,888

The Sony RX1R2 SG pre-order promo comes with a Zeiss cleaning kit and a Samsonite Oval 57/20 luggage. Inside the luggage is a foam fit for the camera and cleaning kit. Nice touch.

Haha nice
I am more interested in the A&A for Leica strap though. Got it from Leica store?

The strap's only available in SG as a set (bag and longer strap) though. Not a fan of the longer strap.

I got mine from Leica Miami (online). I got friends who managed to get it from Japan as a strap itself.

Wah. Congrats 😉

My business partner just bought... $4,748.... Which means the suitcase and cleaning kit cost $250 ;-)

That price is more acceptable, and closer to US pricing...

The suitecase/cleaning kit is for pre-orders, even those who bought from the local shops below SRP.

Friend just got his from Changi Airport T3 at SGD4670.

Borrowed my generous friends RX1R M2 for the evening....I was pretty impressed with the image quality and colour.
The camera is an absolute ninja on the street, nobody even looked at me while shooting...the only thing you may worry about is replacing your hard drive to hold all the great shots you get...the files are massive...especially uncompressed raw

Erm... So is the IQ significantly better than the previous RX1R?
Still shots. Not taking able to crop more or faster AF into considerations.
for eg.. shooting buildings or landscape. At same settings.

Oh one thing I'll add....and maybe because it's not mine , but I was conscious I was carrying around 4.5K worth of camera and was super careful with it (don"t have this problem with my GX8 and nocticron 42.5), also ergonomics aren't the greatest and could really benefit from a grip of some sort. Overall I liked it....I have the camera for a few more days, so i will post some more samples when I have time to process them ( I don't shoot JPEG)
