Trying to "simulate" how sensitive 42mp reacts to no ibis, i I briefly tried 5 shots on a sharp 35cron asph at 1/40. It I got 2 blurry shots, so probably need 1/60 on the rx1r to be safe. I have very unsteady hands even with proper handheld techniques.
The rx1r ii is going to do fine without ibis. A7rm2 and 35/2.8 is one of the nicest combo for street photography with autofocus. Having learned how to managed overwrite focus on these fly by wire lenses, i hope the new rx1 will serve me well.
btw, look at the 100% samples at the official gallery when you have the time. The lens even at f11, has very high acutance and resolution. Impressive.

Just curious, will anyone actually buy this for video? Even though the functionality is there.
The comparision seem to show the rx1r II has better color grading capability, but it does not have 4k, super 35 oversampling mode, and iirc log profile as well.

Will be buying this camera at launch...over the years nothing from the Sony Alpha series could tempt me away from my RX1R and am super excited about the new version
The only issues I had with the original was the slow AF speed, the inability to select minimum shutter speed in auto ISO, and the fact that the EVF sticks out too much when attached. They've (hopefully) solved all these issues and thrown in the A7RII sensor, what more could one ask for? (ok well a cheaper price would be nice, but IMO it's still worth it even at retail price)

Wow, that would make the pricing on par with the Leica Q. Was expecting it to be a touch cheaper, maybe mid $4k's.
