Try infrared red photography on wedding theme. White satin gown has this effect of overblown highlight reflection on the gown as I am trying first time using infrared. Makeup may have effect on infrared red as the model will look fierce and strong. Care to critiq and advise me. Thanks.

Very interesting and original.

What cam and lens you using?

Abang,

My honest opinion. Pics are a bit flat.

Think there's too much highlights in your histogram.

Teerex, I agree with you. I do not know the sensor or the dress as I think the dress reflects the light and has too much highlight. Should try again on the shoot.

nice one. what about those u were playing with flash? :p

sorry, maybe i never try to shoot humans in infrared before, what does this mean?

anyways, i do not understand why IR was used here, if you use a tool without a clear concept in mind, you will tend to end up with poor results, because the tool is used blindly without any thought about the end result.

i think these shots might have looked better without the ir being used, because the ir effect is not utilised maximally here. maybe it might appeal to people who have not seen it before, but with more people posting ir pictures, that appeal will soon be lost.

if you want good use of ir on brides, i remember eikin had a pretty good series, though i am not sure if all of his work was done with ir cam, i know most of them were.

Nice shots. Rarely we see humans shot in IR! :)

Thanks all for the input. Will consider next theme for IR.

Abang,

Played around with 2 of your pics. Try to get some depth and contrast to bring up the model.

Your opinions please to help me gauge.

the runaway bride looks so happy, must be happy to be running away from a monster of a groom

Hi I just recently learnt about IR photography and I'm keen to know more. Is it possible to do IR photography with a Canon 500D? I read about having to convert the camera or smth like that. Is it possible to IR without converting my cam?
