is it true that fuji dismantled their SLR dept? And that they're in some financial trouble? hmmmmmm......... the S7 pro dream might just be a..... dream..... :cry:

No Fuji have not dismantled their SLR factory.
They actually made a few proto types of the S6Pro and sent it to "*" to have it checked out.
Was based on the x7xx body and has a full frame EXR sensor.
"*" said, "NO" it is so good that we won't be able to sell our x7xx :bigeyes:
Maybe Fuji will create their own body for it and use either their own lens (they do make them) or make different bodies to take either of the major lens out there.
Sorry for the "*" and the x's but you will work out what I am referring to
I have no reason to dis-believe the source of this information by the way.
So, it will come. It will knock some socks off the competition. But when ???????

I have nothing to gain by writing what I have, nor do I wish to.
But, after dealing with most camera companies over the last 8 years, I have made friends in many places.
Some times I get to hear about things that are not made public and if I think something is worth passing on, I do.
As I say, "believe or not what you will", and only time will tell.
I for one would like to believe that there will be a new Fuji DSLR body and I will buy one.
Regardless of wheter it is named S6Pro or XF Pro or what ever they come up with.

yupp.. but seems like d40 got this small compact DSLR thingy started like how the f31d is the beachmark for compacts at high iso.
i doubt i can afford the new s series should fuji introduce one
might just got back nikon after my s5 die and wait for s6 price to drop maybe :bsmilie:ZeroDivine
